Every page on RV Watts follows the same rules. This page documents them so you can judge our results yourself.

1. Formulas come first

Every calculator page states the formula it uses and the assumptions built into it (conversion factors, densities, coverage rates, waste allowances). If a tool has a "typical" default, we say so and let you change it.

2. Primary sources, named

When a page depends on external facts — conversion factors, coverage rates, product dimensions, safety temperatures — we cite the primary or official source (government agencies, standards bodies, manufacturers) and link to it. We record the date we checked it. We do not cite anonymous blogs as the basis of a number.

3. Rounding and units

Calculators show both the precise figure and a sensible rounded figure for real-world use (you cannot buy 0.37 of a bag). Metric and US units are both supported where the underlying question allows it.

4. What we do not do

• We don't invent numbers. If a figure can't be sourced, the page says what is unknown.
• We don't pad pages with keyword variations. One page answers one real question.
• We don't accept payment to change results or recommendations. The site is funded by ads, which are clearly labelled and never inside results or tables.

5. Corrections

Errors get fixed at the top of the queue. If you spot a wrong factor or a broken assumption, send the page URL plus your source via the contact page. Corrections are applied and the page's "Last updated" date changes.

6. Review cadence

Tools are math and don't decay. Pages that depend on external facts are re-checked when a cited source changes or when a reader reports drift — whichever comes first.
